The city of Louisville issued the following news release:

The first Tommie Smith Track & Field Meet to be held in Louisville will take place Friday August 11th from 3 to 8 PM at the University of Louisville Parkway Field located at 350 Warnock Street and on Saturday August 12th from 9 AM to 6 PM at the University of Louisville Owsley Frazier Cardinal Park located at 2200 S. Olympic Gold Medalists Tommie Smith and Bob Beamon will be on hand.
