WASHINGTON, Aug. 10 -- Sen. Kit Bond, R-Missouri, has introduced a bill (S. 3774) to "amend title 18, U.S. Code, to prohibit the unauthorized disclosure of classified information."
The bill, introduced on Aug. 2, was co-sponsored by Sens. Trent Lott, R-Mississippi; Saxby Chambliss, R-Georgia; Ted Stevens, R-Alaska; Thad Cochran, R-Mississippi; Conrad Burns, R-Montana; Orrin G. Hatch, R-Utah; Rick Santorum, R-Pennsylvania; John Cornyn, R-Texas; Pete V. Domenici, R-New Mexico; Bob Bennett, R-Utah; and Lamar Alexander, R-Tennessee. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
