Assemblyman Jonathan Bing, D-Manhattan (73rd District), issued the following press release:
Assemblymember Jonathan Bing (D-Manhattan) announced that the Legislative Budget agreement provides New York City schools with over $501 million more than last year's budget. The budget agreement also provides more resources necessary for students to succeed in today's economy.
"The Legislature's budget ensures that New York City students will get the best education possible," said Bing. "This budget makes investments in class size reduction, universal pre-K and provides state dollars to modernize school facilities."
