The office of Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, issued the following press release:

As part of his continuing support for rural Iowa, Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) announced today that the Wayne Community School District will receive $150,000 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Rural Health Care Services Outreach Grant Program. Harkin is the ranking Democrat on the subcommittee that funds health initiatives.

"All Americans deserve access to quality, affordable health care," Harkin said. "I hope these funds will help provide Iowa families with the health care services they need."

Rural Health Outreach Grants help develop health care delivery systems in underserved, rural areas. ...
