The government of United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence's Royal Navy issued the following news release:
More than 60 youngsters from minority ethnic communities in Portsmouth took part in a youth football tournament organised by the Royal Navy recently.
The event, which took place at Clarence Pier field, on Southsea seafront, brought together white, black and ethnic minority youths, aged between 14 and 16, for a series of five-a-side football matches co-ordinated by RN Physical Training Instructors from HMS Temeraire.
The tournament is the first youth initiative in a series of 'Outreach' events run by the RN's civilian diversity and equality team in Fleet Headquarters, Whale Island.
