Gov. Janet Napolitano, D-Ariz., issued the following news release:

Gov. Janet Napolitano today signed House Bill 2727, establishing a professional baseball club special license plate. Senate President Ken Bennett, Arizona Diamondbacks President Rich Dozer and Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation President Mike Kennedy also participated in the event. Part of the proceeds from the special plate will go to the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation.

"This public-private partnership benefits all Arizonans, especially Arizona children," Governor Napolitano said. "Since 1997, before the first game was ever played by the Diamondbacks, the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation has served Arizona communities."
