Islamabad, Aug 17 --Have Pakistanis forgotten qawwal king Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan? It certainly seems so, considering that his ninth death anniversary, which fell on August 16, passed away unnoticed.

According to the Daily Times, no artist, association of government body organised a function to pay tribute to the world famous singer, who died in London on August 16, 1997.

Nusrat's ancestral home in Faisalabad has been sold off and is now being demolished. His belongings have been left unattended, most of them comprise of naat, qawwali and hammd books.
