The Georgia Republican Party issued the following news release:
Today, the Georgia Republican Party filed an ethics complaint against Democrat Mark Taylor for accepting $35,000 in illegal contributions.
"We gave Mark Taylor an opportunity to do the right thing by returning the money, and he refused. Mark has left us no choice but to file an ethics complaint," said Georgia Republican Party Communications Director Clelia Davis. "We take this violation very seriously, and will not allow Mark Taylor to use illegal funds in his efforts to pander to voters."
