The Maryland Department of Transportation issued the following news release:
In another effort to meet the needs of those impacted by the BRAC realignment in the Fort Meade area, Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr., today announced the State is ready to move forward with a transit-oriented development around the Savage MARC Station near Route 32 between Route 1 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. The State has chosen a developer, Petrie Ross Ventures, to develop the Savage MARC Station into a mixed-use development that will transform the 15-acre, State-owned parking lot in Howard County into a vibrant mix of retail, residential, and office space.
