Article: SALEM COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE OFFICER CHARGED WITH $20,400 HEALTH INSURANCE FRAUD

The New Jersey Attorney General issued the following news release:

Attorney Gen. Zulima V. Farber and Criminal Justice Director Gregory A. Paw announced that a Salem County Sheriff's Department officer has been charged with health care claims fraud and theft for his role in a health insurance fraud.

According to Insurance Fraud Prosecutor Greta Gooden Brown, John K. Hoover, 40, Pedricktown, Salem County, was charged with second-degree health care claims fraud, and third-degree theft by deception. Second-degree crimes carry a maximum punishment of 10 years in state prison and a criminal fine of $150,000, while crimes of the third-degree carry a maximum punishment of five years in state ...
