While Winchester waits for a Five Guys Famous Burger & Fries, a competitor is coming into the market.
In several months, Foster's Grille, a casual dining restaurant featuring char broiled burgers, will open at the new Gateway Shopping Center in Frederick County, on Route 7 east of Winchester.
The franchise is owned by Katie and Rich Grant, who live in Bristow, Va., (near Manassas) and several partners. "We've researched it and we think there is a market for it in Winchester," said Rich Grant, a State Farm agent in Stephens City.
