Hawaii rock, rap, country, reggae, jazz, ska, metal, classical and pop artists were again conspicuously absent - even as finalists - as Keali'i Reichel and Na Leo Pilimehana dominated the Hawaii Association of Recording Artists' 1996 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.
