If there are days at work when you'd rather be driving a golf cart, you might want to talk with William "Butch" Rankin, owner of Rankin's Used Golf Carts, Inc., which sells, rents and repairs golf carts near Hagerstown.

"Many companies are seeing the advantages of golf carts," says Rankin. "If you have a good size plant, the time it takes a supervisor or maintenance man to walk from point A to point B is costing the company money. Just add up all the hours in a day, when someone's not doing anything productive, walking around the plant, and multiply that by the hourly rate."
