The Rhode Island attorney general issued the following news release:
Joshua A. Davis, DOB: 6/5/85564 Coe Street, #2Woonsocket, RIP1-2006-2796A
The Providence County Grand Jury handed up an indictment today naming Joshua A. Davis on one count of murder, one count of 1st degree child molestation, and one count of kidnapping a minor. It is alleged that on or about May 7, 2006, Davis murdered Savannah Smith, in Cranston. It is also alleged that on or about that same date, Davis committed the crime of 1st degree child molestation on a victim 14 years of age or under, in Cranston.
