The Louisiana Department of Insurance issued the following press release:
Commissioner of Insurance Jim Donelon has joined the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors in encouraging Louisiana residents to take stock of their life insurance needs during this year's annual "Life Insurance Awareness Month," September 1-30.
Donelon says industry studies show that not having adequate life insurance can leave surviving family members devastated. More and more families rely on two wage earners, yet the number of adults who have life insurance has been declining for more than two decades.
