Texas A&M University, a component of the public university system in Texas, issued the following news from its agriculture program:
The 2006 Fall Beef Cattle Workshop, sponsored by Texas Cooperative Extension, will be from 8:30 a.m.- 4:15 p.m. Oct. 14 in Converse. It will take place at the Connell Life Skills and Livestock Center at Boysville, 8555 E. Loop 1604 North.
Topics will include herbicide and brush control, fly control and pesticide application, laws and regulations, wildlife predator control, cattle vaccination and bio-terrorism.
Six continuing education credits - one integrated pest management credit, one laws and regulations credit and four general credits - will be given.
