Article: City OKs plan to finish ballpark

The Missoula City Council OK'd a plan to put up the city's minor league ballpark as collateral on a $6 million loan at its Monday meeting at St. Patrick Hospital conference rooms.

The City Council also sent the Missoula Open Space Plan 2006 Update and a pair of zoning changes back to committee.

The financing package for OgrenAllegiance Park involves a consortium of lenders and would pay off liens, consolidate debt and complete the construction of the partially finished stadium occupied mainly by the Missoula Osprey, an affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
