For more than two decades, Edgardo Cintron paid his dues in a variety of casino bands before becoming a bandleader. The timbales player put together the first edition of the 15-piece Cintron band shortly before the band's first gig at an inauguration event for President Bush in January 2001 in Washington, D.C. Since then, Cintron has seen his profile grow dramatically.
Cintron and his bands, which also include a combo called Azuca, gig regularly in Atlantic City (the Sands, Trump Marina, etc.) and at Connecticut's Mohegan Sun Hotel Casino and Entertainment.
