Article: POSSIBLE RABIES EXPOSURE AT TENNESSEE WALKING HORSE NATIONAL CELEBRATION

The city of Lubbock issued the following press release:

The Tennessee Department of Health has issued a health alert warning about a confirmed case of rabies in a horse stabled on the grounds during the 2006 Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. Persons who were bitten or came in contact with saliva from the infected horse from August 23-31, 2006, while attending the Celebration, may have been exposed to rabies and are asked to contact the Tennessee Department of Health for an assessment.
