The Miami-Dade County government issued the following news release:
Commission Chairman Joe A. Martinez is taking measures to force internet providers accused of not paying County taxes to pay up. Chairman Martinez is sponsoring a resolution which directs the County Attorney to file suit against providers who have allegedly been benefiting from the resale of hotel and motel accommodations without paying taxes due to the County. The resolution is to be presented Tuesday, September 12, 2006 before the Board of County Commissioners.
