In letters to Anders Moberg, President and CEO of Royal Ahold, and Tony Schiano, CEO of Tops Markets, Rep. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today urged the executives to choose a new owner that will preserve the 3,800 Northeast Ohio jobs at the Tops Markets chain.
A number of groups have submitted bids to purchase the 46 Tops Markets stores and warehouses for sale by Royal Ahold, its parent company.
