Pennsylvania State Rep. Mark Mustio, R-Allegheny (44th District), issued the following news release:

Rep. Mark Mustio (R-Allegheny) announced today that six local EMS providers and volunteer fire companies have been awarded approximately $60,048.58 from a grant program administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Office of the State Fire Commissioner. "When you consider increased equipment costs, reduced volunteer recruitment and the simple fact that the average volunteer firefighter or emergency medical technician can spend nearly 80 percent of his or her time fundraising, securing this funding is absolutely critical for the overall effectiveness and ultimate survival ...
