Training skilled tool-and-die workers is the goal of the new Blum Apprenticeship Center in Stanley, NC. The 4,800-square-foot facility is part of a 58,000-square-foot plant expansion. It includes workbenches and a machine shop with advanced equipment.
Inspired by a successful apprentice program run by Blum Austria, the center will recruit students annually from high schools and existing work forces.
