The West Jordan Planning Commission has conditionally approved a use permit for Metro West Ready Mix Inc., which plans to build a new concrete manufacturing plant, bulk cement unloading and storage silo in the city.
The three-acre site at 5620 W. Axel Park Rd. will be the fifth in state facility for Metro West, according to Paul Richards, CEO. The site is expected to be operational by ate summer, he said.
According to a site plan submitted to the city by McNeil Construction, Metro West's parent company, site additions to accommodate Metro West will consist of a 6,000 square foot metal building, a 33-foot by 88-foot high cement storage silo, an aggregate storage bunker and conveyors. Last ...
