SHILLONG, Sept 19 -- "One's mother tongue is an inevitable part of one's life. No one can ignore one's own language. Can anyone discard one's own culture or place of birth," queried noted Jnanpith award winner Indira Raisom Goswami.With such questions on mind, Parichay, a socio-educational organisation has ventured to revive and propagate the importance of mother tongue in the city.
