Tarleton State University issued the following news release:
The Student Wildlife Society at Tarleton State University came away with a number of special honors after participating in the Texas Chapter of The Wildlife Society meetings held recently on South Padre Island.
Tarleton student Amy Potts was awarded the prestigious Carl. D. Shoemaker Memorial Scholarship; the University''s Wildlife Quiz Bowl Team finished in second place in the state competition; and the Tarleton Plant ID team finished in third place at the 2nd Annual TCTWS.
