Alan Parr's reflections on learning woodworking provoked a flurry of interesting responses on the ATM e-mail list.
Last autumn I spent a lot of time working in the shed. This gave me plenty of opportunity for reflection, and I posted the following piece on the ATM e-mail discussion list.1
I recall Peter Lacey's entertaining and enlightening address to conference.- One of his stories was how his family has repeatedly presented him with all sorts of fancy tools and DIY equipment. Peter said many ot these never get used because you use only the tools you're confident with.
