Gov. George E. Pataki, R-N.Y., issued the following press release:
Gov. George E. Pataki today announced $5 million in funding to restore the historic façade of the New York Public Library (NYPL), located at Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street in New York City. This funding is in addition to the $12 million previously provided by the State.
"The New York Public Library is an historic landmark with significance in heritage to the United States, and both the City and the State of New York," Governor Pataki said.
