The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth issued the following news release:
August seasonally unadjusted unemployment rates declined in all of Michigan's 17 major labor market areas, according to the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth. Over the month, total employment levels were mixed while labor force levels were down throughout the various regions.
"As is typical, August jobless rates dropped seasonally throughout Michigan," said Rick Waclawek, director of the Bureau of Labor Market Information & Strategic Initiatives. ?In many regions, unemployment fell due to recalls in the auto industry from temporary layoffs that happened during the July retooling ...
