Article: Sen. Durbin Introduces Wool Suit Fabric Labeling Fairness, International Standards Conforming Act

WASHINGTON, Sept. 22 -- Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Illinois, has introduced the Wool Suit Fabric Labeling Fairness and International Standards Conforming Act (S. 3911), legislation that would "amend the Wool Products Labeling Act of 1939 to revise the requirements for labeling of certain wool and cashmere products."

The bill, introduced on Sept. 19, was co-sponsored by Sens. Lamar Alexander, R-Tennessee, and Bill Frist, R-Tennessee. It was referred to the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.
