Article: Video Game Decency Act Introduced in House by Rep. Upton

WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 -- Rep. Fred Upton, R-Michigan, has introduced the Video Game Decency Act of 2006 (H.R. 6120), legislation that would "prohibit deceptive acts and practices in the content rating and labeling of video games."

The bill, introduced on Sept. 20, was co-sponsored by Reps. Bobby L. Rush, D-Illinois; Albert Wynn, D-Maryland; Joe Pitts, R-Pennsylvania; John Shimkus, R-Illinois; Lee Terry, R-Nebraska; Mike Pence, R-Indiana; Frank Wolf, R-Virginia; Pete Hoekstra, R-Michigan; Marsha Blackburn, R-Tennessee; Curt Weldon, R-Pennsylvania; and Dave Camp, R-Michigan. It was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
