The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets issued the following news release:
New York State Agriculture Commissioner Patrick H. Brennan today advised New Yorkers that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has revised its advisory against consuming "all" fresh spinach to a more specific advisory against consuming fresh spinach grown in three California counties.
"We are pleased that FDA has identified the areas where the spinach that was linked to the illness was grown, and in doing so have appropriately lifted the ban on all fresh spinach," the Commissioner said.
