Article: K-STATE PROFESSORS CONDUCT COLLABORATIVE STUDY ON EFFECTS OF POSSIBLE WIND POWER IN FLINT HILLS ON PRAIRIE CHICKENS

Kansas State University issued the following news release:

A pair of Kansas State University biology professors are using a collaborative research effort to identify what impacts, if any, wind power development could have on tallgrass prairie wildlife in the Flint Hills and to suggest mitigation strategies.

Brett Sandercock and Samantha Wisely, both K-State assistant professors of biology, have received a four-year, $630,000 grant from the National Wind Coordinating Committee Wildlife Workgroup.
