Article: STRUCTURAL PEST CONTROL COMMITTEE APPROVES 14 SETTLEMENT AGREEMENTS

The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services issued the following news release:

The North Carolina Structural Pest Control Committee recently met to discuss 14 settlement agreements for alleged structural pest control misconduct. The following agreements were approved:

* Mark A. Lashley of Home Pest Control in Raleigh agreed to pay a $1,500 fine for performing termite treatments without being licensed for that type of work. Lashley's license was valid only for household pest control. After a homeowner complained, samples of the soil around the home showed evidence of termite treatment.
