Article: OCTOBER IS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH -DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL AND HEALTH SERVICES AND OTHERS AVAILABLE TO HELP VICTIMS

The Washington state Department of Social and Health Services issued the following news release:

Financial assistance and other programs offered by the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) and partners are among the most important lifelines available to help victims cope with, escape or recover from domestic violence.

"October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and I want all victims to know that we're standing by ready to help," said Deb Marley, the DSHS assistant secretary in charge of its Economic Services Administration.
