Article: Veterans Health Care Act Introduced in House by Rep. Harris

WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 -- Rep. Katherine Harris, R-Florida, has introduced the Veterans Health Care Act of 2006 (H.R. 6185), legislation that would "amend title 38, U.S. Code, to improve health care for veterans."

The bill, introduced on Sept. 26, was co-sponsored by Rep. Rob Simmons, R-Connecticut, and Sanford D. Bishop Jr., D-Georgia. It was referred to the House Veterans' Affairs Committee and House Armed Services Committee.
