The University of Northern Iowa issued the following news release:

The University of Northern Iowa's Women's Studies program recently underwent a name and program change to become Women's and Gender Studies. A joint effort between the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (CSBS) and the College of Humanities and Fine Arts (CHFA), Women's and Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary program that places gender at the center of inquiry in both an undergraduate minor and as a graduate degree.
