ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 3 -- W. Peter Hansen and Petra B. Krauledat, both of Canaan, N.Y., Anthony A. Ferrante of Belmont, Mass., Russell J. Gershman of Burlington, Mass., and Donald F. Perrault, Jr. of Brighton, Mass., have developed an automated analysis of complex, multicellular model organisms that are particularly useful in the field of drug discovery.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, the invention relates to a "method of using elongate multicellular organisms in conjunction with a specialized flow cytometer for drug discovery and compound screening.
