Gov. Tom Vilsack, D-Iowa, issued the following press release:
Gov. Tom Vilsack and Lt. Gov. Sally Pederson announced today that the State of Iowa has awarded $4.3 million for the planning, design, and construction of 11 Regional Emergency Response Training Centers, which will provide a broad range of training to Iowa's emergency responders.
"Public safety has been a priority of our Administration for the past eight years and this announcement is another step toward keeping Iowans secure," said Vilsack.
