The Democratic Party of Missouri issued the following news release:
The Missouri Democratic Party is calling on Gov. Matt Blunt to donate campaign contributions he received from alleged-pedophile Rep. Mark Foley to a worthwhile charity. Rep. Foley resigned on Friday after e-mails surfaced showing he sent sexually suggestive messages to under-aged Congressional pages.
On August 26, 2004 Blunt received a $1,000 contribution from Foley's Florida-based PAC, Friends of Mark Foley, according to the Missouri Ethics Commission Web site.
