WASHINGTON, Oct. 4 -- Sen. Pete V. Domenici, R-New Mexico, has introduced a resolution (S.Res. 595) "recognizing the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as 1 of the premier science and research institutions of the world."

The resolution, introduced on Sept. 29, was co-sponsored by Sens. Jeff Bingaman, D-New Mexico; Barbara Boxer, D-California; and Dianne Feinstein, D-California. It was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
