WASHINGTON, Oct. 7 -- Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, has introduced the Vote by Mail Act of 2006 (S. 4018), legislation that would "establish a Vote by Mail grant program."
The bill, introduced on Sept. 29, was co-sponsored by Sens. John Kerry, D-Massachusetts, and Barack Obama, D-Illinois. It was referred to the Senate Rules and Administration Committee.
