Rep. Betty McCollum, D-Minn. (4th CD), issued the following statement:

Today, Rep. Betty McCollum issued the following statement on the floor of the House of Representatives in response to the National Intelligence Estimate, conducted by 16 U.S. intelligence agencies. The NEI found that the American invasion and occupation of Iraq has actually increased anti-American extremism as well as the overall terrorist threat to America. It appears clear that President Bush's current Iraq policy is creating more terrorists and making America less safe. The following is Rep. McCollum's statement:
