The University of Vermont issued the following news release:

As concern for the welfare of missing student Michelle Gardner-Quinn grows, three important events have been scheduled:

* The UVM Women's Center has organized a candlelight vigil for Michelle tonight at 6 p.m. by the fountain on the UVM Green.

* A community safety forum will take place in Burlington on the evening of Wednesday, October 11.

* A campus forum on Thursday, October 12 at 7pm in the Ira Allen Chapel.

All are welcome and encouraged to attend all events.

Additional events and vigils are being held in residence halls and elsewhere.
