The city of Louisville issued the following news release:
Beginning Tuesday, October 17, the Louisville Metro Health Department will begin making appointments for flu shots to be administered at its 400 E. Gray Street location. Appointments will be limited to those at high risk for complications from the flu. For an appointment, phone 574-5643.
Those at high risk are:
* People age 50 and older
* Children age 6 months to 5 years.
* Children 2-18 years of age on long-term aspirin therapy
* Household members and caretakers of infants younger than 6 months of age
* Pregnant women
* People with chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and asthma
