ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 18 -- Paul Joseph Dominowski of Hickory Corners, Mich., Ramasamy M. Mannan of Kalamazoo, Mich., Pamela K. Klose of East Lyme, Conn., and Richard L. Krebs of Ashland, Neb., have developed submicron oil-in-water emulsions that is useful as a vaccine adjuvant for enhancing the immunogenicity of antigens.
According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention also provides vaccine compositions containing an antigen combined with such emulsions intrinsically or extrinsically. Methods of preparing the emulsions and vaccines are also provided by the present invention."
