Indiana House Democratic Leader B. Patrick Bauer (D-South Bend) today issued the following statement about announcements from Indiana House Republicans on health care and jobs:

"As the Indiana House Republicans tell us what they're going to do if they return to control of the Indiana House in 2007, it makes you wonder where they have been these past two years, when they were in control of the House and they did have the chance to enact these policies.

"Right now, there are 850,000 Hoosiers who are going without any kind of health care coverage.

"We do not need to be approaching this issue on a piecemeal ...
