Article: New chemical element added to Periodic Table

Moscow, Oct 19 -- Russian and US chemists have added element number 118 to the Periodic Table at Russia's Dubna Institute of Nuclear Research.

Cuba's Prensa Latina news agency reported that sources told the Voice of Russia that it only appears in lab conditions for a few seconds by "bombarding" Californium with calcium ions.
