The Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund issued the following news release:

Today, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), announces support for the following measures: Proposition 1D, Proposition 84, and Proposition 86. In addition, the nation's leading Latino legal organization, announces its opposition to Proposition 90.

"We have reviewed the ballot measures as they affect California's Latino community," stated John Trasviña, MALDEF Interim President and General Counsel. "Propositions 1D, 84, and 86 provide our communities with access to vital resources and services."
