The U.S. Department of Justice's Federal Bureau of Investigation's San Diego Field Office issued the following press release:
The San Diego Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public's assistance in identifying two bank robbers in two separate bank robberies that occurred earlier today.
The first robbery took place at a Wells Fargo inside the Vons grocery store on Murphy Canyon Road at approximately 11:18 a.m. The bandit entered the bank, approached the counter, handed the teller a demand note, and threatened to detonate an explosive device if he was not given the money.
